Chinaversary!

I have, as of this weekend, been living in China for one year. We chose to attend a celebration at the Stumble Inn which, coincidentally, celebrated its first birthday this weekend as well. There was a 60s and 70s theme, and much fun was had. Interesting to note: for part of the evening, my costume included a loosely curled blonde wig, roughly in keeping with the late 1960s. I was hit on exponentially more often while wearing this wig than while showing my usual dark curled hair style. I wonder only slightly if this has anything to do with the increased rarity of blondes in China, or if this would have happened anywhere. Potentially also worth noting, and somehow adding to curiosity of the situation: I look ridiculous as a blonde.
